Eek-A-Mouse
The Venue, Sept. 4, 1999
Eek-A-Mouse played The Venue last night and he was in excellent form!
I’ve seen him 5
times - the 1st two knocked me out, then he seemed to go through the
motions the last
few times I’ve seen him (the last time was almost 5 years ago). Well,
last night, the Mouse of old showed up and totally rocked the good-sized
crowd.
He started off with Peeni Walli then Ganja Smuggling. What a start! He
was in great vocal
form as he really did a lot of his bong bong bong biddly stuff. He was
really playing the
crowd the entire evening (singing “Do you want the Mouse to stay?”) and
seemed to be having a great time. He was cracking me up....
I couldn’t even begin to tell you the playlist, but the band was
exceptionally tight and
Mouse rocked through every track. “Assassinator,” “Wa Do Dem,” “Gangster
Chronicles;” he was in top form. He did a blistering version of “Get
Away” at the end.
It was a great show and I highly encourage you to check him out. The
Mouse is back...
